This puzzle was written for a speed-setting event on the Cracking the Cryptic Discord server, in which we were restricted to laying out clues in congruent triominoes. Kurotto is a type I'm not very comfortable with and have only solved a few examples of, so making this, with such a tight restriction on clue placement, was quite an awkward experience for me.

Rules
Shade some cells so that clues indicate the total size of the orthogonally connected areas of shaded cells that share an edge with the clue. Clued cells cannot be shaded.
