Puzzle #113 - Deficit/Surplus Sudoku

This puzzle was created during a short speed-setting event on the Cracking the Cryptic Discord server. It’s a bit of a one-trick pony but has a cute piece of logic to get the solve underway.

Rules

Place a number from 1 to 9 into each empty cell so that every row and column contains every number exactly once.

Regions with fewer than 6 cells are deficit regions and contain each digit at most once. Regions with more than 6 cells are surplus regions and contain each digit at least once.

Difficulty: 3/10
