I was interested to see if I could create a Heyawake puzzle comprising entirely of 3x3 regions and with an average clue value of 3. It turned out to be quite easily possible, and this puzzle didn't take me long to find at all.
Note that an average clue value of 3 in a 3x3 room means that one third of the cells in the grid will be shaded in the solution. If you're familiar with penalty theory in Heyawake, this should set alarm bells ringing.
Rules
Shade some cells so that no two shaded cells are orthogonally adjacent and the remaining unshaded cells form one orthogonally-connected area. Numbered regions must contain the indicated amount of shaded cells. An unbroken horizontal or vertical line of unshaded cells may not cross more than one bold border.
