Puzzle #103 - Search 9 / Skyscrapers Sudoku

This puzzle was borne out of a throwaway idea suggested by Prasanna Seshadri for a speed-setting competition on the Cracking the Cryptic Discord server. The idea was immediately vetoed by the other participants, on the grounds that none of them had ever heard of Search 9 and most had very little experience with Skyscrapers, but I decided to set a puzzle for Prasanna anyway, and this is the result.

Rules

Place a number from 1 to 9 into each empty cell so that every row, column, and bold-outlined region contains every number exactly once. Additionally, the following variant rules apply:

Search 9 - Each arrow points to a 9. The number placed in the arrow indicates the distance from the arrow to the 9.

Skyscrapers - Each digit in the grid represents a building of that height. Clues outside the grid tell you the number of buildings visible when looking into the grid from that point. A building blocks the view of any smaller buildings behind it.

Difficulty: 5/10
