Puzzle #60 - Sandwich Sudoku

There is a tendency to construct Sandwich Sudoku with all, or most, sandwich clues given. I prefer my sandwiches a bit more minimalistic. They're a real challenge to construct with so few clues, and I was quite happy to get this one to work with so many unclued rows and columns.

Rules

Place a number from 1 to 9 into each empty cell so that every row, column, and bold-outlined region contains every number exactly once. Clues outside the grid indicate the sum of the numbers placed strictly between the 1 and the 9 in the corresponding row or column.

Difficulty: 7/10
