Puzzles #106 and #107 - X-Sums Sudoku and Sandwich Sudoku

This pair of puzzles was created for an hour-long speed-setting event on the Cracking the Cryptic Discord server. Creating such a pair in an hour was ambitious and I couldn't quite get the theme I wanted to work perfectly in the time, with my hand being forced to place a couple of extra givens outside of the theme. Nonetheless, I am very pleased with how these puzzles turned out given the constraints.

General Rules: Place a number from 1 to 9 into each empty cell so that every row, column, and bold-outlined region contains every number exactly once.

X-Sums Sudoku

Rules: Clues outside the grid indicate the sum of the first X digits placed in the corresponding direction, where X is the first of those digits.

Difficulty: 3/10

Sandwich Sudoku

Rules: Clues outside the grid indicate the sum of the numbers placed strictly between the 1 and the 9 in the corresponding row or column.

Difficulty: 4/10
